Il inscrit ses créations dans le cycle naturel de l’éclosion et de la détérioration.
"It grew out of a feeling I had that my stuff was too controlled," John Grade says. "I simply had too much control. Something had to give." The sculptor on his recent works, which not only reflect earthscapes but become, for a while, part of them.
The artist's work achieves "an extraordinary balance : physical immediacy against vulnerability."
